  • Manager of Hospitality & Sales

    Bricoleur Vineyards has an opening for a talented, experienced Manager of our Hospitality / Tasting Room to join our Bricoleur Vineyards team reporting to the Director of Hospitality & Sales. At Bricoleur we believe in sustainable farming from our estate gardens, fresh local & sustainable food, fine wine and exceptional food pairing, family enterprise, and supporting community. The Manager of Hospitality / Tasting Room is a dynamic role that will have multiple sales management, sales, and marketing opportunities with the with the goal of building the Bricoleur brand and growing a successful Company. The Sales & Hospitality Ambassadors for Bricoleur Vineyards assist in all aspect of the guest experience, including conducting tours of various sizes, holding wine & food tastings, providing wine education, and completing retail sales of wine & gift items. The Tasting Room/Hospitality Staff also assist in special experiences, off site consumer tastings, wine club activities, special events, and any other related tasks which involve direct guest contact.

    Essential Operations & Responsibilities:

    Possess strong leadership, communication, organization, sales, and relationship skills building positive, professional relationships with co-workers, wine club members and guests.

    Owns the opening, closing, scheduling, and management of all work duties for the daily hospitality functions in the wine & food tasting room, Pavilion, Bocce Ball and other outdoor locations owning the overall customer Estate experience.

    Focused on setting the example for and training the Hospitality Ambassadors to ensure a memorable wine & food experience is delivered for all Bricoleur Vineyard guests.

    • Good multi-tasking ability working well under pressure with a tight timeline.

    Works closely with the Wine Club Manager and Hospitality Ambassadors to promote Wine Club memberships to guests and process club sign-ups.

    Works closely with the Executive Chef / Culinary team to optimize the daily wine & food pairings ensuring an amazing customer experience.

    Work with marketing to design & maintain attractive, effective displays of wine and gift items for the tasting room, restocking on a regular basis, including adequate supplies of handouts, brochures, winemaker notes.

    Ensure the tasting room is clean and neat for all guest areas at open, closing and throughout the complete day. (This includes the tasting room, restrooms, and all outdoor public areas)

    Closely coordinate and assist with special experiences and events when scheduled.

    Assist with the packing and shipping of wine club and other orders, as needed.

    Assist hospitality Ambassadors, events manager, marketing, and other staff in special projects as needed.

    Attend out-of-the-winery tastings/events as a Bricoleur Vineyards representative, as needed which might involve traveling for time to time.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    Plans the activities of and schedules for all the hospitality and tasting room employees to maximize productivity, deliver amazing customer service while optimizing labor costs. Hires, trains, disciplines, and when necessary, recommends termination of the hospitality staff according to venue guidelines and policies.

    Qualifications:

    • College degree or equivalent preferred.
    • Able to handle work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Minimum five to ten years of hospitality or winery tasting room experience
    • Minimum of 3 years managing a team in a winery or other hospitality venue with similar duties and responsibilities.
    • Strong computer experience working with a CRM package, Microsoft Word and Excel programs.
    • TIPS and ServSafe certification required.

    Language Skills:

    • Fluent English, spoken & written – Spanish efficiency a plus

    Job Type:

  • Hospitality Ambassador

    Job Summary:

    Our Hospitality Ambassadors at Bricoleur Vineyards are dynamic roles that will have multiple responsibilities in the winery and tasting room. The position will be client facing (in-person, via phone and email) and will require excellent communication and follow up skills. This role will also help with hospitality and interacting with the public (industry, media, and consumers) to build the Bricoleur brand and Company. Must have a passion for putting the customer first, possess a positive can-do attitude, enjoy working in a fast-paced start-up like culture. Entrepreneurial nature is ideal.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Hospitality:

    • Build strong relationships with clients providing best in class customer experience
    • Oversee and provide flawless and timey handling and processing of incoming customer & club member inquiries, orders and shipments
    • Perform administrative duties such as contact vendors, filing, entering and activating new accounts
    • Delegate and/or handle customer returns and claims
    • Handle incoming calls, company contact inbox and voicemail as needed
    • Provide a voice for the customer as a feedback loop to the business
    • Partner with the management team to drive innovation in the customer experience and sales channels
    • Additional responsibilities as assigned

    Tasting Room & Sales:

    • Provide excellent customer service in all areas: welcome guests, educate and present Bricoleur Vineyards wine & food experience
    • Greet and host guests and assist in all aspects of the Tasting Room and ensure a memorable experience for all guests
    • Conduct tours and private wine & food tastings covering the history of Bricoleur Vineyards and the winemaking process
    • Promote the sale of wines and drive new memberships to the Bricoleur Vineyards Wine Club
    • Staff various winery events
    • Perform sales transactions using POS Systems
    • Collect names and email addresses for future contact
    • Stock supplies, maintain displays in retail areas
    • Additional responsibilities as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business
    • 3-5 years’ experience in Hospitality; winery and/or restaurant experience is highly preferred
    • Comfortable and thrive in working in a fast-paced environment with simultaneous demands
    • Intermediate to advanced computer skills including proficiency and multi-tasking abilities with browsers, search engines, and operating systems
    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
    • Demonstrated experience managing an email inbox
    • Passion for delivering excellent customer service experiences
    • Strong initiative, can-do attitude, and work ethic
    • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
    • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

    Language Skills:
