About Friends of Mimosa

Friends of Mimosa Hall & Gardens, a registered 501(c)(3), formed in 2017 to support the restoration of historic Mimosa Hall, an 1841 Greek Revival mansion recently purchased by the City of Roswell, Georgia. The Friends’ mission is to champion the sustainable preservation of Mimosa Hall and Gardens, where history and culture engage and uplift community.

Mimosa Hall and Gardens will be a home for the Arts, History, Culture, and Community Engagement. In 2018, with a grant from the Garden Club of Georgia, the Friends restored a 1920s reflecting pool garden designed by renowned architect J. Neel Reid. This year, Friends of Mimosa will install a new roof with solar panels on the mansion. The panels will generate 100% of the building’s electricity, making Mimosa Hall the oldest Net Zero house in the United States.
